A Vendor Scorecard is a structured evaluation tool that rates suppliers against weighted criteria such as quality, delivery, cost, and responsiveness over a defined review period. It turns subjective opinions about supplier performance into comparable, trackable metrics that support renewal, escalation, and sourcing decisions. Consistent scoring across vendors also gives procurement a defensible basis for negotiating SLAs and reallocating spend.
It's part of My QMS, MyPMP's Quality Management System: fill it in online, personalize it with your name and logo, then export a clean, branded PDF. Your work auto-saves in your browser.
The interactive form above gives you:
Assign each criterion a percentage based on business priority so all weights total 100%, then multiply each score by its weight to get a weighted total. Cost-driven categories often weight price higher, while critical services weight quality and reliability more.
Most organizations score strategic vendors quarterly and lower-risk suppliers annually, aligning reviews with contract milestones or business review meetings. High-risk or underperforming vendors may warrant monthly tracking until issues are resolved.
A scorecard applies weighted, rated criteria to produce an overall performance rating and decision, while a KPI dashboard displays raw operational metrics in real time. The scorecard is periodic and evaluative; the dashboard is continuous and monitoring-focused.
