About the Project Handover template

A Project Handover formally transfers ownership of deliverables, documentation, and open items from the delivery team to the operational owner or client. It captures what was delivered, what remains outstanding, and who is now accountable, preventing knowledge loss and support gaps once the team stands down.

It's part of My QMS, MyPMP's Quality Management System: fill it in online, personalize it with your name and logo, then export a clean, branded PDF. Your work auto-saves in your browser.

Tips & common mistakes

  • πŸ’‘Get a dated sign-off from the receiving owner; a handover without acceptance leaves accountability unclear
  • πŸ’‘Document open risks and defects explicitly rather than assuming the incoming team will discover them
  • πŸ’‘Include where documents live and who holds access, not just that they exist

How it works

  2. 2. Brand it β€” add your organization name and logo with the Branding button.
