About the Project Deliverables template

A Project Deliverables tracker is a structured list of the tangible outputs a project must produce, mapped to owners, due dates, and acceptance status. It turns the scope statement and WBS into a monitorable checklist so nothing agreed with the sponsor slips through unbuilt or unaccepted. Keeping it current gives you a single source of truth for what is done, what is pending sign-off, and what is at risk.

It's part of My QMS, MyPMP's Quality Management System: fill it in online, personalize it with your name and logo, then export a clean, branded PDF. Your work auto-saves in your browser.

When to use a Project Deliverables

  • β–ΈDuring planning, to break the WBS down into concrete, verifiable outputs
  • β–ΈAt status meetings, to report completion and acceptance progress against the baseline
  • β–ΈWhen a stakeholder disputes what was in scope or whether an item was signed off
  • β–ΈAhead of phase gates or project closure, to confirm every committed output is delivered and accepted

Tips & common mistakes

  • πŸ’‘Write acceptance criteria before work starts so "done" is objective, not a judgment call at review
  • πŸ’‘Distinguish internal deliverables from those handed to the client, and track sign-off separately for each
  • πŸ’‘Avoid vague entries like "documentation"; name the exact document, format, and recipient

How it works

  1. 1. Fill it in β€” type directly into the fields, tables and sections above.
  2. 2. Brand it β€” add your organization name and logo with the Branding button.
  3. 3. Export β€” print to PDF, or become a member to white-label and sync across devices.

FAQ

How is a deliverable different from a milestone?οΌ‹

A deliverable is a tangible output such as a report, design, or working feature, while a milestone is a point in time marking progress. Delivering and accepting a key deliverable often triggers a milestone.

What counts as an accepted deliverable?οΌ‹

A deliverable is accepted when it meets its predefined acceptance criteria and the designated approver signs off; until then it stays in submitted or in-progress status, not complete.

How do I decide what to list as a deliverable?οΌ‹

Decompose the WBS into the smallest outputs a stakeholder would recognise and verify, then list anything that must be produced, reviewed, or handed over rather than every internal task.
