A Strategic Roadmap is a time-phased visual plan that connects long-term business objectives to the initiatives, milestones, and outcomes that will deliver them. It translates strategy into a sequence of themes and workstreams across quarters or years, keeping leadership, delivery teams, and stakeholders aligned on what matters and when. Unlike a project schedule, it emphasizes direction and priorities over task-level detail.
It's part of My QMS, MyPMP's Quality Management System: fill it in online, personalize it with your name and logo, then export a clean, branded PDF. Your work auto-saves in your browser.
The interactive form above gives you:
A strategic roadmap shows high-level objectives, themes, and milestones over quarters or years, while a project plan breaks work into detailed tasks, durations, and resources. The roadmap sets direction; the plan executes it.
Most cover 12 to 36 months, with near-term periods shown in more detail and later periods kept deliberately broad. For fast-moving contexts, a now/next/later format avoids committing to dates you can't yet defend.
Ownership typically sits with product leadership, a PMO, or the executive sponsor, who reviews it with stakeholders each quarter. Individual initiative owners keep their status and milestones current between reviews.
