An Asset Management register is a structured record of an organization's physical and intangible assets, tracking each item's location, condition, ownership, value, and lifecycle stage. It matters because it prevents lost or duplicated assets, supports depreciation and maintenance planning, and gives project teams a single source of truth for resource allocation and capital decisions.
It's part of My QMS, MyPMP's Quality Management System: fill it in online, personalize it with your name and logo, then export a clean, branded PDF. Your work auto-saves in your browser.
The interactive form above gives you:
Record each asset's purchase cost, acquisition date, useful life, and chosen method (straight-line or reducing balance), then let the current value update as time passes. Keeping this per-asset avoids errors when items have different lifespans.
An inventory list typically tracks consumable stock and quantities for day-to-day use, while an asset register tracks durable, capitalized items over their full lifecycle including value, ownership, and maintenance. Assets are held long-term; inventory is consumed or sold.
Reconcile it against a physical count at least once a year, and update entries whenever assets are acquired, transferred, serviced, or disposed of to keep valuations and custody accurate.
Membership unlocks white-label export (remove the MyPMP footer), cloud sync across devices, plus all apps & ScheduleX.
