The employer or principal contractor holds legal duty, but a competent person familiar with the task, such as a site manager or safety officer, typically carries out and signs off the assessment.
How is risk scored in a construction risk assessment?οΌ
Most use a likelihood x severity matrix, often 1-5 on each axis, giving a score that bands the risk as low, medium, or high and triggers the level of control required.
What is the difference between a risk assessment and a method statement?οΌ
